How I Keep It a Secret
Planning before the day
We plan over WhatsApp: the location, the exact spot, the time, what your partner thinks is happening and how you'll signal me. I'll often send a reference photo of where I'll be.
Blending in
I arrive early and blend in as a tourist or passer-by. Your partner shouldn't notice anything until after the yes.
After the yes
Once the secret is out, we move into a relaxed couple session. That's where you get the beautiful, unhurried portraits and extra footage of you celebrating together.

Tips for a Better Proposal Video
- Pick a time with soft light, usually around sunset, and arrive a little early.
- Think about sound. Very windy or loud spots make speech hard to hear, so say the important words clearly.
- Keep the ring accessible and practise getting it out without fumbling.
- Face your partner towards the camera position we agreed, so I can see both of you.
- Don't look for me. Trust the plan and stay in the moment.
